Bloged in Announcements by Liam Serf Saturday January 10, 2009

Here we are in a new year already and we have some new news. Barcelona has joined the Sister Cities program in Second Life. The program is a way that quality sims in Second Life can share while networking together. Sitearm Madonna has lined up some quality sims as sister cities. To see what other cities are part of the group check the Sister Cities board in the Plaza Real. You can teleport and get information about the other group memebers directly from the board. These boards are on the Second Life help islands, so we will be sure to meet new fun people who are just begining their Second Life. To read more about the Sister Cities program visit http://www.sistercitiessl.com

Niko Donburi Plays Barcelona While Streaming 400 Sims

Wow, what a show! Niko, played Barcelona del Oeste at the beach venue, what a super sunset. Yes, you heard right, the show was simulcast to over 400+ sims throughout Second Life. That makes this one of the largest live music event ever held in Linden Research, Inc.’s virtual world. Video of the show was shown live on www.shiny-life.com. It was fun watching the show in two places at once, like looking in the mirror. A collaborative machinima for one of Niko’s new songs was also filmed durning the show. Be sure to check back as we will be sure to have the video on the BarcelonaSL.com blog.

2008 Bach Festival Success

Bloged in Announcements, Music by Liam Serf Sunday April 20, 2008

The 2008 Bach festival was a great success. Barcelona del Pi hosted 2 days of the festival in the Santa Maria del Pi Church. Many comments were made as to how the Church was the perfect environment for a series such as this. One picture says it all so we will let it do all the talking.

We want to thank all the super performers and Tyrol Rimbaud for asking us if we would like to take part in this great event.      Liam Serf
